1. About the service

Paid30 is an online invoicing and payment tool for UK tradespeople and trade businesses. It lets you create invoices, send them to customers, offer a timed early-payment discount, and take card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and other methods supported by your payment account through Stripe.

2. Who can use Paid30

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts. You must be based in the UK and only use the service for lawful business purposes. You are responsible for making sure the information you enter — including your business details, VAT number and customer details — is accurate.

3. Fees and billing

Paid30 has two plans:

  • Starter: no monthly fee. A 2% platform fee is deducted when a customer pays an invoice through Paid30.
  • Pro: £19 per month. A 1% platform fee is deducted when a customer pays an invoice through Paid30. Pro also includes Xero and QuickBooks sync and a higher invoice volume.

The platform fee is taken from the payment before the remainder is transferred to your connected Stripe account. Stripe also charges its own payment-processing fees, which are shown by Stripe during checkout and in your Stripe dashboard. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from your account settings.

4. Cancellation and cooling-off rights

You can cancel your Paid30 account at any time from your account settings. The Starter plan has no monthly fee, so there is nothing to cancel financially — platform fees only apply to invoices your customers actually pay.

If you sign up to the Pro plan as a consumer (rather than for your business), the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give you 14 days from purchase to cancel and receive a refund. Because Pro is a digital service supplied immediately, by starting to use Pro features within that period you agree to the service beginning at once and acknowledge that you lose the right to cancel once the service has been fully performed. If you have used Pro during the cooling-off period we may deduct a proportionate amount for the service already provided.

To cancel within 14 days, cancel in your account settings or email support@paid30.com stating that you want to cancel. Outside the cooling-off period, cancelling Pro stops future monthly payments; the current month is not refunded and you keep Pro features until the end of the paid period.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982 to a service carried out with reasonable care and skill.

5. Payments and payouts

To receive payments you must complete Stripe Connect onboarding and connect a valid UK bank account. Payouts are handled by Stripe and are subject to Stripe’s terms and any holds or reviews they apply. We are not responsible for delays or restrictions caused by Stripe, your bank or incorrect payout details.

6. The early-payment discount

The 30-minute deal is a discount off the full invoice price for paying early. It is never a charge, fee or surcharge for paying by card — adding a surcharge to a consumer card payment is banned in the UK, and Paid30 does not do it. The full price shown on the invoice is the price payable if the window closes, and the discounted price is always lower. VAT is charged on the amount actually paid, so it falls with the discount.

7. Cancelling and correcting an invoice

A sent invoice cannot be deleted or renumbered, because UK VAT rules require the record to stay intact. Instead you can cancel it with a numbered credit note, which we send to your customer and include in your records, exports and accounting sync. If the invoice was already paid, refund the payment first — the credit note then cancels the charge in your books.

8. Refunds and chargebacks

Any refunds, disputes or chargebacks are handled between you and your customer through Stripe. You are responsible for refunding customers when required. We may recover any platform fees or losses from your Stripe balance or future payments if a payment is reversed.

9. Your account and responsibilities

You must keep your login details secure. You must not use the service to send spam, fraud, illegal goods or services, or invoices that mislead customers. You are responsible for complying with UK VAT, tax and consumer-law rules that apply to your business. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules or put the service at risk.

10. Data and content

You keep ownership of your customer and invoice data. We only use it to provide the service. You give us permission to store, process and transmit that data as needed, including to Stripe, your accounting provider and our email provider. See our Privacy Policy for more details.

11. Service availability

We aim to keep the service running smoothly, but we cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features with reasonable notice. We are not liable for any loss of business, lost profits or data loss beyond the amount you have paid us in the previous 12 months, except where the law does not allow us to limit liability.

12. Termination

You can close your account at any time. We may also suspend or terminate your account if you break these terms, fail to pay fees, or if we stop operating the service. Closing your account does not remove your obligation to pay any outstanding fees or settle any pending refunds.

13. Intellectual property

Paid30 owns the branding, software, code and design of the service. You may not copy, reverse-engineer or resell the service without our permission.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of England and Wales.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the latest version on this page and update the date at the top. If you continue to use the service after changes, you accept the updated terms.

16. If something goes wrong

If you are unhappy with anything, email support@paid30.com with what happened. We acknowledge every complaint within one working day and aim to give you a full answer within five working days. If we cannot resolve it, we will explain why and set out what you can do next.
